Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria – Seek and Find Nature Cards

Pick up free Seek and Find Nature Cards from the Cranbourne Gardens Visitor Centre, then use them to explore the Gardens’ plants, creatures and landscapes together. It is a simple, self-guided option for adding purpose and observation to a family walk. The activity is listed daily through 31 December 2026.

Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria – The Explorer, Cranbourne Gardens

For a different view of the Australian Garden, families can take a daily open-air electric bus tour with live commentary. The Gardens describes The Explorer as designed especially for families, and children travel at half price during Victorian school holidays. Check current fares and booking arrangements before setting out.

City of Casey Maternal and Child Health Services

Families with children from birth to six years can access free, confidential appointments and developmental check-ins, along with parenting groups and support. Interpreters are available on request. Central bookings can be made on 9705 5590 from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am–4.30 pm; the after-hours Maternal and Child Health Line is 132 229.

City of Casey Kindergartens and Central Registration and Enrolment Scheme

When it is time to consider funded three- or four-year-old kindergarten, Casey’s central scheme provides a registration pathway to local services. The Council information includes an age calculator, suburb search and published registration guidance, helping families work out when and where to apply.

City of Casey Youth Information Centres

Young people aged 10–25 can access programs, local information and pathways to counselling and support at centres in Cranbourne, Hampton Park and Narre Warren. Drop-in sessions run on set weekdays. Attendance at other times for programs, counselling or support must be arranged beforehand. Casey 360 extends the service through mobile outreach across the municipality.

Windermere Early Childhood Intervention and Key Worker Services

Children aged from birth to seven with disability or developmental delay can receive early intervention through a family-centred key-worker approach and allied health support. Windermere has offices in Narre Warren and Cranbourne and serves Berwick and wider southern Victoria. Families with an NDIS plan can enquire on 03 8793 4267.

Link Health & Community – NDIS Early Childhood Approach

This Cranbourne access point assists families through the NDIS Early Childhood Approach. It is operated by Link Health & Community and is available by appointment only at Suite 1/7 Bakewell Street, Cranbourne. Call 1800 546 532 to discuss access or arrange an appointment.

Windermere Physiotherapy

Children and young people up to 12 years can access physiotherapy for movement, developmental, disability, injury or rehabilitation needs. Depending on the child’s circumstances, sessions may take place in a clinic, at home, school or preschool. NDIS funding and private health insurance may be used; enquiries can be made on 1300 946 337.

Teach 2 Talk Speech Pathology

Based at Casey Towers in Narre Warren, this private paediatric practice works with preschool children, school-aged children and adolescents experiencing communication difficulties. It also serves surrounding suburbs. Families can contact the practice on 03 9796 2723 to ask about services and appointments.

🤝 Service navigation and family safety

City of Casey Link Worker Program

Casey residents who are unsure where to begin can ask a Link Worker for free navigation support. The program connects people with disability, carer, community, health and wellbeing, housing, advocacy and family violence services. Appointments are available in person or by phone; contact 9705 5271 or linkworker@casey.vic.gov.au.

The Orange Door

The Cranbourne service supports people in the Southern Melbourne area who are experiencing or using family violence, as well as families needing help with the care and wellbeing of children and young people. Support is free, and no referral is required. The location operates during business hours from Monday to Friday and can be contacted on 1800 271 170.

City of Casey Family Violence Domestic Pets Assistance Program

Eligible Casey residents leaving family violence may be able to arrange temporary care for domestic pets for up to 14 days. Access is through a family violence support agency or Council, and an agency referral is required. The program can help address the immediate care of animals while a household is moving towards safety.
